Riots in France Continue

Okay, I know everyone has seen at least something about the French riots, unless you live in a cave in Central Park. And, yeah, riots in France are not uncommon. But these riots have gone on for nearly three weeks now, and other than a few preliminary comments by Chirac, no one has looked past getting them under control to the roots of the problem. When are the French going to recognize the need to deal with the racial tensions between immigrants and traditional populations? More to the point, will this lead to a resurgence in the support Jean-Marie Le Pen enjoyed in the last election? Cause he's a bit crazy, and I'm not sure in this case that crazier is better.
